Privacy Policy

Quanta Intellect ("we," "us," or "our") builds open-source developer tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our products and services, including the Vessel Browser application and the quantaintellect.com website.

1. What We Collect

Vessel Browser (the desktop application):

• Vessel runs entirely on your local machine. We do not collect, transmit, or store your browsing data, page content, bookmarks, highlights, session data, or AI conversation history.
• AI queries are sent directly from your machine to the AI provider you configure (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI). We do not proxy, log, or have access to these requests.
• If you subscribe to Vessel Premium, we collect your email address and Stripe customer ID solely for subscription management. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe.

This website (quantaintellect.com):

• We use Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity for anonymous analytics (page views, scroll depth, click patterns). No personally identifiable information is collected through these tools.
• We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to third parties.

2. AI Provider Data

Vessel is a "bring your own key" (BYOK) application. When you configure an AI provider, your API key is stored locally on your machine in your user data directory. We never receive, store, or have access to your API keys. Your AI conversations are sent directly to your chosen provider under their privacy policies.

3. Vessel Premium

When you subscribe to Vessel Premium, the following data is processed:

• Email address — used to identify your subscription and for account recovery.
• Stripe customer ID — a unique identifier assigned by Stripe for billing.
• Subscription status — whether your subscription is active, trialing, or canceled.

Payment information (credit card numbers, billing address) is collected and processed exclusively by Stripe. We never see or store your payment details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

• All Vessel application data (settings, bookmarks, highlights, sessions, history) is stored locally on your machine in your OS user data directory.
• Premium subscription verification requests are processed by a Cloudflare Worker that communicates with the Stripe API. No browsing data is included in these requests.
• We use HTTPS for all network communication.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing for Vessel Premium subscriptions
• Google Tag Manager — anonymous website analytics
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymous website behavior analytics
• GitHub — source code hosting, issue tracking, and release distribution
• npm — package distribution
• Cloudflare — website hosting and API infrastructure

6. Your Rights

Since Vessel stores all data locally on your machine, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete any Vessel data by removing files from your user data directory. For Premium subscription data, you can manage or cancel your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal (accessible from Vessel Settings), or contact us to request deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

Vessel is a developer tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
